The name Zonotho came from the merging of two words. The first word is the Zulu/Ndebele word “umnotho” meaning “wealth” and the second is the Kiswahili word “mwanzo” meaning “the beginning”. The sole purpose of Zonotho’s existence is to help people make better financial decisions. Finance products can sometimes be difficult to understand but we, aim to explain financial concepts in a way that is understandable, in other words, “Making Finance simple”.

Thando is currently R&D Manager in the R&D Lab of a Top 40 JSE listed financial services firm. Thando is a qualified fellow actuary of the Actuarial Society of South Africa and is also a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary. He is also the founder of Litmail, a business communication technology provider.
Benjamin is an Actuary working for a Top 40 South African financial services giant. He is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa; specialising in Life insurance. He also holds an Honours degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria.
Chris holds an Honours degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria. He works as an Actuarial Analyst in a Group Life Insurance role at a JSE Top 40 financial services company.
Tinaye is a consultant at OPF – a financial consultancy based in Fourways. He holds a degree in Actuarial Science and an Honours degree in Pure Maths. He is a self-taught trader and has level I FRM and is currently pursuing his level II exam.
